Challenge
The facilities team was challenged with saving energy for both cost reasons and to support corporate sustainability goals. The goal of the project was to identify new opportunities for conservation and to enable the next step in the process.
Barriers
The primary barrier faced by the facility was an ever-decreasing number of ideas for conservation in the face of the consistent need to deliver performance improvement year over year.
Solution
Leveraged expertise and creativity to identify unique solutions for the site. FTD helped the client see where there were synergies between systems that helped to justify the energy conservation measure with a broader perspective.
Impact
Evaluated 18 energy conservation measures and ranked them by scoring the lowest ROI, highest savings and difficulty to execute. Identified $10M+ in annual energy savings with a combined ROI on the portfolio of approximately 4 years.
